The most toxic ingredients on the market are found in products designed for and targeted to young Black women and girls. These ingredients include allergens, endocrine disrupting chemicals, reproductive system inhibitors, and carcinogens. We're out here using the most beauty care products, buying the most beauty care products, spending the most on beauty care products, and quite possibly dying the most due to the accumulation of toxins from these beauty care products in our bodies.  prettyonpurpose! endeavors to do something about this.

Since 2010, we've been teaching young Black women and girls about making their own healthy, safer products, finding Black owned products that use clean ingredients, and deciphering labels that don't. Yeah, we prize cool, and we like a few touches here and there from time to time, but we're not about to die for it!

prettyonpurpose! moves with the mission of making stuff prettyonpurpose! one workshop at a time. Each and every workshop that we host is for young Black women and girls and is 100% cost free. We do it because we can and we should, periodt.
